For some, we've known each other for a while, either here, on my Facebook page where I share funny little family moments in my stories, or even on reborn baby groups.
If you don't know me, well here I am!
My name is Geneviève, at the time of this article, I am 42 years old (ark!), fortunately, in my heart, I am just 25 hehehe. I have 7 beautiful children, ranging from 7 years old to 21 years old.
I was in no way destined for artistic work, having failed over failure in high school in plastic art classes, I had no talent! So I did my studies in accounting, I was aiming for a rather... intellectual job, let's say!
I loved going to craft fairs with my oldest daughter and my mom. How I envied all these talented designers! They had eyes that shine, their own businesses, the dream life for me! Having 7 children, you can surely imagine the sick days that this would require for an employee! Not always easy!
That fall, in 2018 more precisely, I was visiting a salon in the corner of Drummondville, when we saw for the first time a kiosk where there were reborn babies.
My oldest to trip more than my mother and I would say. She told me that she had read about the therapeutic effect of reborn babies and that it could help her anxiety. It was very difficult for her to leave the kiosk, but it was not then planned in my budget to spend so much that day... especially for a doll!
Then, back home, she kept talking about it! I said to myself: I will make him one myself! So I started my research on the internet, found sites where the equipment was sold, tutorials on YouTube, etc...
And then, was born my first... HORROR!! Yes yes… did I tell you that I had no artistic talent?
I must say that I had an immense pleasure in bringing her into the world, being born in my hands, at the end of my brushes, in my little studio and after so many hours!
I decided to make others, fortunately, they improved from time to time! I was asked one day if I was going to sell some... The idea quickly germinated in my head... Brainstorming with a friend... and Hop! Passion for reborn babies was born!! Facebook page, website, Instagram and all the tra la la!!
Passion poupons reborns was therefore born in November 2018. Almost 4 years that it occupies about 60 to 80 hours of my week!
Of course I collect them too, even though I promised my husband not to lol. At first, I didn't see the need or the point of owning one. Now, how could I do without my little pieces of love that I love so much!!
I love them!! And what a pleasure to shop for these little angels!
Now, I create for all kinds of moms, infertile moms, bereaved moms, tired moms, anxious moms, elderly moms in CHSLDs, little moms who can't wait to be a mom one day! Moms who feel lonely or just moms like me, who find them too beautiful and can't accept that I no longer have a baby to rock!!
